From the President

September 1, 2018

Dear Colleagues:

The Association of Practicing Psychologists of Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, Inc. (APP) welcomes you to an exciting 2018-19 program of workshops.   Register now to attend the entire Sunday morning series.  But, as you register, please consider volunteering to join the APP board of directors!  Most of the current board members are entering a third year of service to the group, serving beyond the 2-year term so that the work of APP can continue.  Serving on the board is professionally and personally gratifying, very task-focused and time-efficient, and contributes directly to supporting our local community of practicing psychologists.  Last, but not least, annual dues and workshop fees are waived for board members for the duration of their term.

The APP operates thanks to the volunteer work of licensed psychologists who serve 2-year terms on the Board of Directors.  The APP counts on its talented members to take turns leading the organization.  The board is actively seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for you to do the important work that makes APP possible.

Each Full and Affiliate Member of the APP is eligible to serve on Board of Directors.  Most of the Board’s work is done virtually between meetings.  The APP Board of Directors (listed on the cover page and the website) meets for about 45 minutes after the workshops on October 16, 2018, February 19, 2019, and April 23, 2019.  We also welcome the participation of the full APP membership at these meetings.
