1. I am already an APP member, do I need to create an online account to register for events through the website?

Yes. If you were an APP member for the 2010-1011 cycle, an account was automatically created for you. Your username is your First and Last name (i.e., Jon Doe). You can retreive your password by going to https://www.apponline.org/user/password to request a new password for your account on the website. Your username is your first and last name (ie, John Doe) or you can use the email you previously registered with the APP organization. Once you do that you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password and a temporary login link.

If you do not receive an email when requesting a new password, it is possible that the email address on file with APP is outdated. Please contact us directly at newwebsitehelp@apponline.org to update the email address you have on file with us. After resetting your password and login in you will be able to log in to your account and proceed with editing your contact and directory information, renewing your membership online and registering for continuing education events.

2. What are some of the features of the new APP website?

  • Online Membership Payment.
  • Online registration and payment for continuing education events.
  • Downloading of event handouts (when made available by the presenter). Registrants can download event handouts in the files area under their user account if they register online through the APP website.
  • Ability to directly and instantly update your contact information and member/website directory information.
  • New website troubleshooting assistance via appworkshops@gmail.com

**Please note: Once logged into your account you can update any of your "Directory Listing" information if applicable.

3. What is the first step to registering for an event?

You can register for APP CE events by going to the APP Continuing Education Events Page and selecting the event you wish to attend. On the specific event page fill out the form at the bottom of the event description. Before checkout you will be asked to sign in with your online registration account. If you don't already have one, you will be asked to create a user Profile to establish a username and password before checking out.

4. Why do I need to create an online account?

Creating an online account provides participant information and confirms a record of events which you have attended. Additionally, you'll be able to download handouts for your registered events under your account.

5. I already have an online account but do not know my user id and password. How can I retrieve it?

6. How do I know if I already have an online account?

Just ask! You may email us at appworkshops@gmail.com. Please provide your first name, last name, and city/state then we will search our system for your online account. If you have an online account we will email your user id and password. If an account is not found, you will be directed on how to create an online account.

7. I have an online account, but my information has changed. Should I build a new one?

No. It is much more time efficient to simply provide changes in your current online account by logging in to our website and updating your information under your account page.

8. Do I need to create a new online account for each event?

No. If you need to register for an additional event, you will only need to login with your username and password. Your online account only needs to be created one time. Your online account will remain active even if you do not renew your APP membership.

9. I’m getting the message 'The username you selected is in use. Please select a different one', what can i do?

Either you already have an online account on the APP website or someone else has selected this username. If you think you may have an online account established, go to the password retrieval page to request a new password by entering your email address. Otherwise, enter a more personalized username. (For example, John A. Doe = Jon A Doe)

10. I can't remember if I've renewed my membership. How do I find out?

To see if your membership dues are current, just log into your account. When logged in, your name should be displayed on the right side of the screen in the "My Info" box. If your membership is current you will also have the title of "APP Member" listed in the same box. If you do not see this then you will need to renew your membership with APP.

11. May I register other people for an event?

Each person's online account is only allowed to register once for an event. Each attendee will need to have their own online account established and register through that account. If the attendee already has a profile established, simply log on with the attendee’s username and password and then choose an event. Since the entire process just takes a few minutes, we recommend that the attendee complete the process themselves.

12. Why is the wrong amount showing up when I try to register for an event?

First, make sure you are logged into your account. When logged in, your name should be displayed on the right side of the screen. The $10 discount for early registration is applied at the end of checkout, so the displayed registration cost does not include the discount. You will be able to see the early registration discount in the final step of check out for the event registration.

13. How do I access my account page and information on the website?

Log into your account. Under your name on the right side, click on "my account". You will be redirected to your account page where you can update your contact information, event registrations, file downloads and directory listing (if applicable).

14. How do I get a copy of the handouts for an event?

You can pay $5 when you pre-register to recieve a printed copy at the workshop, or if you pre-register online, download the handouts when they become available from the presenter. If they are available at the time you complete registration, you can download the handouts under the "Files" area under your account page. A very limited number of handouts are available for purchase for onsite registration.

15. How do I download the handouts for an event?

The handouts are generally not available at the time of registration as the presenter needs time to prepare them. Approximately 2-3 days before the workshop, the handouts will be available online for those who have preregistered. To access the handouts, log into your account. Under your name on the right side, click on "my account" to go to your account page and you can download the handouts under the "Files" area.

16. Is on-site registration available the day of the event?

Yes, on-site registration is allowed the day of the event. 

17. How do I know if I am registered?

After you have submitted your registration for an event you will receive an email notifying you that your registration was confirmed. If you do not receive an email, you may also login at any time and go to your account page to view the receipt for the event you selected for registration. If you didn't receive an email and you do not have a receipt for the event under your account page, please contact us at appworkshops@gmail.com.

18. What do I do if I get an error message on site?

Please copy the text of the error that is displayed on the screen and email it to appworkshops@gmail.com

19. What if I can't find an answer to my question on the FAQ page?

Please email your question to apponlinempg@gmail.com or use the contact form on the website. Our organization and APP continuing education events are run by volunteers, therefore, responses to inquiries may be slightly delayed . However, we generally try to respond to all inquiries within 48-72 hours. Thank you for your patience.
