APP Continuing Education Workshops

APP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. APP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Workshops are now being held at the Doubletree Silver Spring at 8727 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910 (301-589-5200).   From the Capitol Beltway (495): Exit 30/30B Colesville Road (Route 29 South) - 1 mile South as you enter downtown Silver Spring, The hotel is on the left, at the corner of Colesville and Spring St. 
The Montgomery County Public Parking garage behind the hotel is known as the Ellsworth - Roeder - Town Square Garage or Garage 61.  Entrances to the garage are on Ellsworth Drive and Roeder Road.

To enter the hotel by walking the short distance from the garage, head southwest when you exit the garage on either Ellsworth Dr. or Roeder Rd.  Turn right on Fenton St. until you come to Colesville Rd. Turn right.  The hotel is at 8727 Colesville Rd.
 
Limited Handicapped Parking is avaiblale. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to reserve a spot for you.

Metered parking on the street is available as well. Check the meters for hours of enforcement, many are free on Sundays.

Valet parking at the hotel is available at cost to you, please contact the hotel for additional information.

Metro Red Line service - exit the station at Colesville Rd (8400 block).  Walk northwest on Colesville Rd. to 8727.
APP takes pride in offering its members, affiliates and other mental health professionals high quality continuing education programs at a reasonable cost. APP Continuing Education Programs meet the requirements for sponsorship by the American Psychological Association. APP Continuing Education programs meet the requirements for continued licensure by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychology. Five or six three-hour programs are offered each year. At least one program each year focuses on legal/ethical issues.
 
Registration for October and November is now OPEN - see links below.   Members must first pay the annual dues before registering for the workshops. Discounted registration pricing for APP members will be available for purchase once a member has paid their annual dues and is logged into their account. If your event ticket purchase is 8 days prior to the event, a $10 early registration discount will be added during checkout.

Continuing Education Credit: CE is granted to participants with documented attendance and completed evaluation forms. Attendance is monitored. Credit will not be granted to registrants who are more than 15 minutes late, are absent more than 15 minutes during the session, or depart more than 15 minutes early. A certificate for three CE credits will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of each workshop. APP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. APP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
 
The workshop program is accessible to all individuals, in compliance with the Americans for Disabilities Act. Accommodations for individuals with sensory impairments can be made with three (3) weeks advance notice.
 
APP has no commercial relationship to the presenters of CE programs and does not seek to promote any commercial undertaking with which the presenters may be engaged. However, APP does allow the presenter to make available copies of a published product to interested participants.
